March Employee of the Month
March 28, 2025
At Saybrook Landing, we take pride in recognizing the dedicated individuals who make a difference in the lives of our residents every day. This month, we are thrilled to honor Megan Nolan, a compassionate and hardworking State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) whose commitment to her residents goes above and beyond.
Megan graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 2003 and found her passion in healthcare in the summer of 2007 when she became an STNA. For over three years, she has been a cherished member of the Saybrook Landing family, making a lasting impact on both her residents and colleagues. Her peers describe her as a hard worker who consistently goes the extra mile. The true testament to her dedication is the excitement on her residents’ faces when she returns after a few days off—they eagerly ask about her time away, showing just how much she means to them.
Megan shares her life with her significant other, Joshua, whom she has been with for 19 years, and their 16-year-old son, Damoni. Their family also includes a lovable Pitbull named Zion and a cat named Nigeria. In her spare time, Megan enjoys crafting, spending time with her family, and cheering on her son at his sporting events.
Her journey into healthcare was inspired by watching her mother work in the field while growing up. Though she initially aspired to become a nurse, Megan realized that the personal connections she forms as an STNA are what truly fulfill her.
“I would miss the quality time I get to spend with my residents if I became a nurse,” she shared. And what keeps her going?
“The excitement on my residents’ faces when I return from a few days off. It’s the best feeling in the world.”
Megan, we are beyond grateful for your dedication, warmth, and unwavering commitment to our residents. Thank you for all that you do—you are a true inspiration!
