February Employee of the Month

Saybrook Landing is proud to recognize Kylee Burckhartte as our February Employee of the Month! Kylee has been a valued member of our team since May 2021, starting as a Hospitality Aid/STNA before earning her LPN license in 2022 from Knoedler School.



A 2018 graduate of Conneaut High School, Kylee always felt drawn to healthcare. When asked what sparked her passion for the field, she shared, "My mom, Aunt Jamie, and Nana are all nurses. I grew up around healthcare—it's what I've known my whole life."

Looking ahead, Kylee has big dreams. In five years, she hopes to be married to her boyfriend, own a home in the country, have at least one child, and earn her RN and Cosmetology license. When asked about her interest in cosmetology, she explained, "It’s something I’m passionate about. I’d love to be able to help my family with their hair while also making a little extra money on the side."

Kylee’s favorite part of her job? The strong relationships she builds with her residents and their families. "It’s the best feeling when a resident gets excited to see you in the morning and tells you they’ve missed you. I love that connection," she said. She also enjoys the opportunity to work as an STNA when needed, allowing her to have one-on-one time with residents—something she truly cherishes.

At home, Kylee lives with her boyfriend, Tyler, and their black lab, Max, who will be four years old this year. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reorganizing her home, and going to the gym—when she’s not picking up extra shifts! And when it comes to sweet treats, chocolate fudge cake is her absolute favorite.
