Feed The Hope in Ashtabula County

We love being so involved with our Ashtabula community! Saybrook Landing recently joined forces with Feed the Hope, an amazing program that provides clean water and healthy food to children and families in need. With over 250 volunteers that come together every year, we are so humbled to join the fight against hunger in our community.



We got to work by providing breakfast and water for all the volunteers and began packaging 300,000 meals at Our Lady Mt. Carmel Church in Ashtabula, Ohio. Our Saybrook Team consisted of Carissa Allen, Olivia Petrinsky, Kim LaRaush and Tiffany Hommes, along with Denise Williams from Capital Home Health. We were also accompanied by some volunteers from our sister facilities as well. Together, our team worked in an assembly-style line making the boxes, filling the boxes, and then adding a signed card with a list of sponsors. When a box was finished, it was labeled and put on the truck for delivery.



The packaged food was distributed to 20 food pantries, four soup kitchens, and two shelters all right here in Ashtabula. The food consisted of healthy options, including oatmeal, macaroni and cheese, cheesy rice, tomatoes and pasta, and rice and beans. It means a lot to us at Saybrook Landing to be able to help our community and make an impact through this incredible program. Our team is looking forward to helping out next year!
