January’s Employee of the Month

Saybrook Landing is proud to honor Brittany Fitzer as our January Employee of the Month! A 2013 graduate of Lakeside High School, Brittany earned her LPN license through Knoedler and has been making a difference in the lives of our residents ever since.



Brittany’s passion for healthcare began at a young age. “When I was around seven years old, I would go to work with my mom, who was a beautician at a long-term care facility. While she was working, I would help push the residents in their wheelchairs. I loved spending time with them, talking, and just hanging out,” she shared. That early experience sparked a lifelong love for caring for others, and even with all the changes in the field, Brittany says, “I can’t see myself doing anything else. I love what I do. I love my residents and their families.”

Brittany’s dedication to her profession doesn’t stop here. She envisions completing her RN degree in the next five to ten years. Outside of work, Brittany enjoys spending quality time with her three-month-old son, Landon, and her dog, Max, a pit bull/Shar Pei mix. She’s also incredibly creative and loves working on crafts in her spare time.
