Pampering Our Mothers

At Saybrook Landing, we take any opportunity to show love and appreciation for our residents and staff members. As we all know, May is dedicated to the mothers of the world, and Saybrook Landing did not miss out! On this Mother's Day, we took time to slow down and show our moms just how much they mean to us by pampering them.



We started the day off by celebrating with pastries, punch, and homemade chocolate-covered strawberries made by one of our resident's two daughters, Karen and Kathy. They also brought in corsages and fruit baskets and played Mother's Day Trivia with our residents while reminiscing on memories of their past.

Our residents also had a surprise visit from the Atech Adult Cosmetology students who came to do manicures, which the residents loved! They picked out their nail polish color and got to sit back and relax. Next was their photoshoot that showcased their manicures, beaded necklaces, flowers, tea cups, and corsages. They were printed out, framed, and given to our residents as Mother's Day gifts.



Thank you to all those who volunteered your time for making our mothers feel extra special! Everyone needs a reminder of just how beautiful and unique they are. Sometimes it's just the simplest of things that can put a smile on their face and make their day. Happy Mother's Day!
