Dave's Therapy Success Story

When Dave Koski came to Saybrook 34 weeks ago, in his words- "I was messed up. I couldn't use my left leg at all and I had pretty bad wounds. I was completely debilitated." He fell at home in his basement and could not get up. He was on the floor for three or four days before being taken to the hospital. Dave worked hard both with therapy and on his own in his room towards recovery. Amidst Dave's challenges, we wanted our skilled nursing facility to be a safe haven of love and support for him and all of our residents to heal.
He credits Angie, our in-house wound nurse, in conjunction with Katie and the wound clinic for completely healing his wounds. Once he was cleared for weight bearing, Dave continued working with Hope and Anthony in our Therapy Department. "The therapists were wonderful. They worked so hard with me. I used to need a lift to get in and out of bed, and now I walk with a walker wherever I need to go." When asked what he thought of Saybrook Landing, he shared, "I love it here! I haven't met one unfriendly person during my entire stay here. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone."
