Cheryl's Therapy Success Story

Cheryl came to Saybrook Landing after having a total knee replacement. When she first came to us, she was not able to go up and down steps, to get in or out of her home, and required assistance to complete all lower body dressing and bathing. She was able to stand for about a minute before needing a break and was able to walk some short distances with a walker.

Cheryl spent ten days at Saybrook Landing for rehabilitation after her knee surgery, and before going home was able to walk over 300 feet and go up/down 12 steps before needing to take a break. She was able to complete all of her daily activities independently again and stand for over eight minutes at a time.



Cheryl and her family speak very highly of her stay at Saybrook Landing and wanted to share a few kind words before they left us. Cheryl says, "Therapy was great here. They knew what I needed to do to be able to go home and got me there quickly." Cheryl's husband, Robert, visited her daily and shared, "I really like the positivity of all the staff, from the moment you walk in the door until the moment you leave. Everyone had such an uplifting attitude, just want you need to heal. The orderliness and cleanliness of Saybrook exceeded our expectations."
