Rick's Therapy Success Story

Saybrook Landing has the pleasure of celebrating our recent therapy graduate, Rick Daughtery! When Rick came to Saybrook Landing, he said, "I could barely walk. I was in pain and was weak." By the time Rick was going home, he was able to walk over 500 feet on even and uneven outdoor surfaces and go up and down 20 steps!

When he first started therapy, he required 75% staff assistance to help dress his lower body due to weakness and decreased balance, but after just 20 days he was able to dress himself without any help. Rick has a lot of great things to say about the staff and facility during his stay with us. "God gave me good people here. I've never been anywhere this nice for my care. My stay here was A+, times infinity! Everyone that works here works from the heart, and you can tell when you see how well all of the residents here are cared for."

Rick is pictured here with Therapists Anthony and Hope, to whom he gave glowing reviews for their knowledge of their fields and the way they work with their residents. When asked if Rick would return to Saybrook Landing if he ever needed rehab again, he said, "You guys knocked it out of the park!"
